Decimals are another way to write fractions. 0.3 means 3 tenths, 0.25 means 25 hundredths.

To compare two decimals, compare the tenths first. If they're equal, compare hundredths. So 0.3 > 0.25 because 3 tenths is more than 2 tenths.
